This painting was inspired by the winter storms that visit the La Jolla Children's Pool. When the beach is open to the public from June to November, visitors are allowed to enjoy the sandy beach. The beach was originally built expressly for children and now is shared with harbor seals and sea lions. It is an attraction year around.
