The inspiration for this painting of "The Seychelles" is from my visit to the islands in 1971 shortly after I had turned 21 in Madras India. At this time the annual visitors to the islands were less than 1,000. Five years later Seychelles proclaimed independence from the United Kingdom and became The Republic of Seychelles.
