The first planting of eucalyptus seeds in California was done in 1853 and by the 1870s there were hundreds of thousands of eucalyptus trees decorating San Francisco's cities landscape. Today eucalyptus trees are an integral, and iconic part of San Francisco's history. This oil on canvas painting is to honor those stately trees that now adorn all of California's landscape.
